New Stuff

Post by aerovin2 »

I just uploaded two pages to the B-17 movies page:

Amazing Stories: The Mission and Last Chance Detectives, both TV projects with B-17 of incidental use. But, we want the complete story.

Check it out.

Aw nuts, I forgot. Let me try to find that shot of the Amazing Stories mockup I got while touring Universal Studios way back when, and I'll send it...

Scott, Amazing Stories was cobbled together and shown as a movie in Australia, and I guess other parts. I saw it on a VHS tape and I could not believe that Spielberg had made the B-17 look so spacious, when surely claustrophobic would have enhanced the story. The Mission was at least of passing interest, but the other episodes were truly crappy!

Steve...yeah, I had heard about the theatrical release in Australia. I guess I could have mentioned it. I am surprised at how many people really enjoyed the series.

Yes, I believe that the Japanese were similarly blessed.

You know, that hatch behind Kevin Costner reminds me of the skylight at my dentist's. "Open wide . . . wider". Ouch.

Thanks for the Amazing Stories update. I caught that on TV years ago and have always wondered what the real story with the B-17 was. 8)

Didn't the opening minute or two of Steven Speilberg's UFO miniseries "Taken"
have shots of "Sentimental Journey"? Maybe add that to the list.

I remember this episode and I recall videotaping it, 'way back when... Stored it VERY careully in the Bermuda Triangle.......

It IS a good episode, and nicely done.

I'd enjoyed it at the ime.
