B-17F 41-24548 "Harry the Horse" fuselage wreckage

Post by OldBillB17F »

According to pacificwrecks.com, an extensive section of fuselage existed as recent as 1998 (I know, not that recent). Anyone know if it is still there?

Per pacificwrecks.com:

"The wing center section remains in the former American bone yard area at Tadji Airfield. Reportedly, part of the fuselage section remains in a swamp nearby."

I talked to a man who just went and looked at it this last year. He says it's still there but pretty picked over. You could probably get it cheap!!!
