From yet another eBay auction: B-17F trainer 42-6030, apparently retrofitted with a chin turret.
Taken in Cuba in 1945 per the listing; it would have been with the 203rd Base Unit in Jackson, MS at that time. Nothing in Baugher or Osborne mentions the modification.

This looks like one of the B-17 attached to the B-29 groups when there was a shortage of training B-29.s
Cuba was one of the stops / targets for these missions (round robin from Kansas to Cuba and return)
