Another B-25 to ID

Post by k5083 »

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help ID the B-25 in this photo taken sometime in the 1960s. I have no info on the location but most of the photographer's pics from this era were taken in California. From what can be seen of the N-number it appears to end in Z (or possibly 2) and the preceding character has a round bottom. Folks on WIX couldn't place it and told me this was the place to come for B-25 experts! Greetings to you all.

Greetings, August,

This B-25 is pictured on page 61 of Scott's, B-25 Mitchell in Civil Service. It is N9456Z, serial number 44-29939. A former Paul Mantz owned ship and a veteran of the film, Catch-22, she currently operates with the Mid Atlatic Air Museum as "Briefing Time."

Cheers,

Craig

Thank you, Craig. I was hoping to try and look this airplane up this weekend but it looks like you took care of it.
