AT-11 Used by Tallmantz for It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World in 1962

Post by aerovin2 »

I just added a page to my Tallmantz pages that has the history of the Tallmantz AT-11 (Twin Beech) used in the filming of It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World in 1962.

This is, of course, the airplane that Frank Tallman flew through the billboard and the hangar at Santa Rosa.

According to Abandoned Airfields, there was 3 twin beeches involved.

Interesting about the airfield, was built and demolished in less then 5-years

Maybe so but I have my doubts based on the FAA registry file and the documents I’ve seen in a Tallmantz file on the film. That’s the only report of multiple Beechs used that I’ve seen.
