Another movie B-17 spotted - FAB 5411

Post by Chris Brame »

I was looking at the Internet Movie Car Database page for the 1964 movie l'Homme de Rio (aka That Man from Rio)and found these two images:

They show B-17G FAB 5411 which Baugher's listing shows as 44-85494, WFU in 1968. What's interesting here is there is a pod with windows in the chin turret position (for cameras?), and the tail is marked "B-17/5411" without the "SAR" search and rescue marking seen on FAB 5402 and 5409. It does have that odd stubby Plexiglass nose that the other two have.
The movie also features Panair do Brasil PBY-5As PP-PDR and PP-PCX, and PT-19 PP-HLE.
