Looking for parts
Hey guys, I'm looking for some stuff for my Fairchild AT-21 restoration. For the nose, I need either a K2 or a K2A ball and socket for the gun. For the Comm radios, I'm looking for an FL-8-A Range Filter box and MC-215 drive cables. For the Nav, I need a drive cable for the BC-433 control head. I al...

Re: One more Alexandra trainer
Interesting too, is that in the first picture, it appears that two of the guys in the back row are recycles...both have devices under their wings.

Re: .30 Cal Ball Sockets
The K3 series superseded the K2 series as direct replacements according to that one sheet. Depending on the cost estimate, I would be interested in a K2A. A well known, Florida based, purveyor of surplus hardware had a single K2A several years ago and offered it at $1500, fixed price.

Bill: You guys may have a K3. The part number on your drawing doesn't match any of the listed ones in the photos that Taigh provided....

Re: .30 Cal Ball Sockets
Bill: Any idea as to how much difference is there between the K2A and K3A mounts? I'm on the lookout for a K2A for my Fairchild.

Re: Build Jigs> Calling Steve Birdsall...
Hang: Glad they can help. A couple of thoughts for you on the jigs.... Vertical jigs are easier to build, but require lots of headroom. If you have to go vertical, then design around a three+ post system for holding your bulkhead locators. Unless you have at least 2-3 times the height of the built s...

Bill: I believe that I found a couple of pictures online. I'll post the links in the morning as I want to look at them on a bigger monitor than my phone screen first.

Re: The start of Lucky 13
A question for you Ray. How do you go about establishing your hard locations such as water line, butt line and fuselage station on things like the removable uprights? Weld the assembly up and mill off or shim at the mouting plate to get the correct location, or ??? I've got to build some jigs for so...

Re: Labrador B-17G 44-83790 restoration
Looking good on the progress. Lucky: When you start the thread on the new jigs, would you be willing to take the time to do a basic walk-thru on how you establish the station, water line and butt line locations? I've got to build some jigs for a couple of projects and no longer have access to the to...
