Does anyone know what serial number this bird had? She was a high-altitude test bed at Wright-Patt. I don't see a yellow prop tip on engine #4. I do on all of the others. There was 41-9108 Alabama Exterminator . Any idea what bird this might be? I cannot read the name on the nose. Looks as if the last word starts with a "P". Photo caption stated that the location is Guadalcanal.

Seriously, any updates on either projects? Curious as to what you all are going to do with the ex-movie prop B-17. It does not to appear to have a chin turret opening, so I am assuming she will be built as an F-model?

You will be hard-pressed to find a more realistic looking B-17 model.

Gathering from what I read...this nose cone is going to the Liberty Foundations "Memphis Belle" and it is going to be fitted with a single .50cal, historically accurate to wartime B-17Fs?

It is good to see that the B-17C project is still moving forward Bill.
